Scenography at the event – delight your guests!
Scenic setting of the event is one of the basics of what it will stand out from hundreds of others and how it will be remembered. It would seem that the participants of the events have seen everything, and their admiration is a big challenge. In our profession, we often have to look for inspiration, combine them into a new whole. Following the world trends in scenery is an indispensable element of our work.
Decoration and Scenography
Experts dealing with event interior design emphasize that it is necessary to implement two stages of planning: decorations and scenography. The first category includes all small actions, the aim of which is to mask specific areas of the room that do not correspond to the designers of the decorations, give the right color or create a background for the events to take place.
The set design is a slightly broader concept – it is a concept consisting of related elements adequately placed in the so-called zones of influence. There is a stage space that focuses the attention of all guests, a usable zone on which the participants of the event and the catering and wall area move (it also includes ceilings). Often it consists of specially built interactive systems that are identical to the stage narrative or constitute a complement – for example, touch monitors.
The classic approach to set design still has many supporters. This type of decor is associated with the use of plastic treatments and specially built structures consisting of metals, MDF boards, soft materials, and plywood. These are realistic projections of the building or thematic set designs fitting into the theme of the event, which can complement the play of lights.
Multimedia set design
The set designs for modern events are very diverse, and although traditional methods are still used to achieve a satisfactory effect, they are more and more often replace by multimedia solutions. They are modern, spectacular and testify to the high level of the event, and at the same time do not have to cost more than traditional solutions. The companies involved in the setting of events are able to propose a set design, which preparation, construction and technical service will fit into a predetermined budget, hence the high interest in modern technologies.
The effects obtained thanks to the play of lights are very important, which can change the atmosphere in an instant. Devices based on RGBW technology, i.e., those in which one LED can contain up to four colors, can generate as much as 16 million colors. They also consume little electricity, thus reducing the cost of the project.
Diaphragm curtains are also eagerly used, which, depending on the density of distribution and the size and color of lights, are a subtle or slightly more distinctive decoration. Screens that are usually the background of an event are equally common. When choosing these elements, pay attention to their parameters: external or internal character, dimensions of modules or transparency.
