Reduce Stress Before Giving a Speech Like a Boss: 8 Tips

1. Imagine what will happen.
To tame fear of the unknown, it is worth performing an exercise consisting in imagining different reactions of the audience – positive and negative, and what we will do to deal with such a situation
2. Do not be scared to be scared!
Start looking at these feelings. What do you feel? What are you afraid of? Identifying anxiety is the most important thing. Do not hide it. When you realistically approach the matter, you can reduce the fear.

6. Work on self-confidence.

7. Breathe slowly but not deeply!
Right before the presentation, we should try to breathe slowly, to slowly oxygenate the brain and concentrate on the topic of the speech. Slow breathing will also allow us to talk calmly. We give ourselves time to think, and the audience has time to digest information that we provide.
8. Break the ICE!
